Where is Mackinac Island & how do I get there?

Mackinac Island is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Lake Huron. The closest commercial airport servicing Mackinac Island is Pellston, Michigan (approximately 25 miles from the island). Commercial air service is provided by Northwest Airlines to Pellston, MI Airport. Shuttle service between Pellston and Arnold Mackinac Island Ferry is available from Mackinac Shuttle or Wolverine Stage.

Ferry Service to the Island is available from Mackinaw City, Michigan (Lower Peninsula) or St. Ignace, Michigan (Upper Peninsula). Upon arrival, day & overnight parking is free for up to seven nights. Traveling North on I-75 to Mackinaw City Dock
Exit 337 – go to the stop sign, turn right, turn right at the traffic light, take first left onto Huron, 3rd lot on the right
Exit 338 – take right off of exit, go to the second traffic light, turn left, then left again onto Huron Street, 3rd lot on the right

Traveling South off Mackinac Bridge to Mackinaw City dock
Take the 2nd exit, take the first left after the traffic light onto Huron street, 3rd lot on the right

Traveling to St. Ignace from the South
Take exit 344A, make a right at the stop sign, take the next right after Ace Hardware

Traveling to St. Ignace from the North
When traveling on I-75, take exit 345, turn left onto Portage, go straight thru four way stop, take slight left down Central Hill, turn right onto State Street, Arnold Dock #1 on right
